Z28 - he's pretty ghetto in that "Sanford & Son" sort of way which I guess would make me Lamont - but anyway. He's been rolling like that for years, but he's doing just that rolling to work & back on the same stretch of highway. Doesn't push the car or whatever (it's got 300,000K on the original motor) and the paint loss to show for it. Doesn't want to spend the money on a full set so he just keeps replacing 1 or 2 at a time figuring that the car w. shit out any day... granted he's been saying that for years and much like him it just keeps going out of spite as best as I can tell. He's gotten to the point that he just picks through USED tires @ the local shop and gives the guy a 5 spot for letting him take what others consider trash... anyway what the fuck am I rambling about?
Right - tires, in a perfect world you'd want them to match HOWEVER - if you can only afford right now I would buy the BETTER tire and remember not to push the car to it's limits because it can have strange and dangerous reactions. This way when your fronts wear out you can replace them w. tires that MATCH the rear and have moved UP a grade. Otherwise you're going to lock yourself into running those shit SP5000s forever.
